This three week summer study abroad experience is based in the high Himalayan Range in the state of Uttaranchal, India. The focus of the program is ecology—the ecology of the mountains and their water, soil and forest systems; and the ecology of the people—their history, beliefs and livelihood systems. Students will spend the majority of the time trekking to the Pindari Glacier on the border of India and Nepal.
